第3课时  Reading(2)
一、教学目标
1、To learn some useful expressions and use them.
2、To learn to talk about school lives and write a short passage about school activities.
3、To use words and sentences to talk about our school life.
二、教学重点
1. get further understanding of the two passages by comparing Nancy’s and John’s schools;
2. learn how to use some important words correctly properly; 
三、教学难点
1. write a short passage about special school activities in our own school;
2. activate the students’ awareness of enjoying their school by talking about their ideal school life. 
四、教学过程
(一)Lead-in
(师)1. Show a short video about school life and then ask students some questions.
2. Let’s review
Ask ss to fill in the table with right details according to the two short passages in Reading. 
(生)(1) What did the boy Greg and his friend Rowley want to do?
(Answer: They wanted to have lunch in the school dining hall.)
(2) What problem did they have?
(Answer: They didn’t find a suitable place to sit and have their lunch.)
(3) What do you think of their school life?
(Answer: Their school life is so terrible.)
(4) What do you think of the other students in the video? 
(Answer: The other students are so rude and unfriendly to Greg and his friend Rowley.)

S: Here, the buddies are older students in the school and they aren’t teachers. 
T: What do the buddies usually do in the Buddy Club? Please put a tick in the boxes below.
