第2课时  Reading(1)
一、教学目标
1、学习词汇、词组、句型。
2、能根据图片猜测词义并根据关键词推测文章大意。
3、学会运用略读和精读相结合的方法去学习课文。
二、教学重点
根据图片、关键词等了解文章大意。
三、教学难点
能感受和理解在不同地点旅行者感受的变化。
四、教学过程
(一)Warming up (Enjoy the pictures and the music)
Show the pictures of many places of interest to the students, let them feel the beauty of these places and say the names of these places. Then ask the students to talk about where they are and what they can do there. Present the words and phrases: wonderful, amazing, places of interest.
(二)Pre-reading(lead-in)
1. Have a free talk 
①We had a long summer holiday . Where did you go during the holiday?
②Which city did you want to go ? 
③Why do you want to go there ?
④How do you plan to get there next National Day?
⑤Can you visit all these famous places of interest in just one day?
2. Introduce the World Park in Beijing. Show some pictures. There are models of over a hundred places of interest from all over the world .We can see the Eiffel Tower ,the pyramids and the Golden Gate Bridge in the park .They are just like the real ones .So I can travel around the world in a day .What an amazing day it will be !
(三)Pre-reading(Fast- reading)
Ask students to read the e-mail as quickly as possible. Skim the e-mail and answer the questions: 
①What is the letter about?
②What did Linda think of the trip?
③Can you divide the e-mail into three parts? What are they?

(四)While-reading(Careful -reading)
1. Ask students to read Paragraph 1-2 carefully and Fill in the table below:

2.Ask students to read Paragraph 3-5 carefully and answer a question:What did Linda see and feel in the World Park?
3.Ask students to read Paragraph 6 carefully and answer the questions:
①How can Linda’s mother know more about the trip?
②Who put the photos on the Internet?
(五)Practice
Ask students to finish the exercises B1,B2,B3 quickly and the check answers.
(六)Post-reading
1. Ask the students to find out the words which can describe Linda’s feeling.
Para 1-2 fine, warm, boring
Para 3-5 excited, couldn’t wait, wonderful, couldn’t believe my eyes
Para 6 wonderful ,amazing, great
2. Ask students try to retell the trip to the World Park according to Linda’s feeling.
(七)Conclusion and check out.
Ask students to make a conclusion and finish the exercise.(见下)
